What is Cipher?
Cipher is a magazine managed by Colorado College students and published by Cutler Publications, a nonprofit organization independent of Colorado College.
Cipher aims to provide writers a space to develop their narrative style and voice through an intensive collaborative process with our editors. The writing is primarily nonfiction-based, showcasing narrative journalism, creative nonfiction, and personal memoirs, with one fiction piece per block. Our magazine is also a space for artists to showcase their pieces and work closely with writers to develop visual representations of articles.
The magazine is published every other block. Each issue has a theme, which is intended as inspiration for art and articles, although submissions do not have to fit the current theme.
